30th Annual Reunion Weekend

This years reunion was hosted by Betty-Anne and Ross. They are always the most gracious and giving hosts that anyone could have as friends. This year we were at Horne Lake on Vancouver Island, not too far from Parksville. Betty-Anne and Ross purchased the property with Cabin, Camper, out buildings, etc.  a few years ago and it’s appropriately named “Diddly Squat”. Because you get to do a whole bunch of Diddly and a little bit of Squat………. well that’s the story they tell us from their Australian adventures. Anyway, it’s a great place to just kick back and relax.

This year only Betty-Anne and Ross, Rick and Gayle, Dean and Judy and Brenda and I were able to make the Reunion; Ed was unable to attend as he is supporting his son Danny who is going through a very tough time with childhood cancer. We all had a chance to talk to Ed on the weekend and everyone misses him and all our thoughts and prayers are with Danny and Ed!

Apart from all the regular reunion hijinks where; Someone Gets Wet, Someone Falls Asleep and is Decorated, Too Much is Drank, Too Much is Eaten and/or other Adult Activities, this year we visited Coombs on Saturday to see the Old Country Market and the Goats on the Roof! It was a great adventure and certainly something we have never done before. As always, leaving good friends on Sunday is tough, however we always look forward to next year.
