Happy Birthday Conrad
Our grandson Conrad turned 2 years old today. His Mom & Dad organized a big party with lots of friends, games, treats and food. There was a scavenger hunt, many multi-colored balloons, a pinata, lots of pizza and of course Happy Birthday was sung as the ice cream cake was brought out with two candles on it. Pictures are below.

Final Day of Snowshoeing
Today we headed up to Sun Peaks for our final day of snowshoeing for this season. The weather was not too bad, it was certainly warm however the sun never really came out but you still needed sun glasses from the glare off the snow. The parking lots were full, lots of people on the hill and plenty of tour buses loading and unloading vacationers and their luggage. The snowshoe trails were alright considering they have obviously not had any new snow for quite a while. Overall there is probably 3′ – 4′ of snow in the trees which is a lot less than in previous years; so it could be a pretty dry summer unless we get a bunch more precipitation. Kamloops is such a great place to live….. Golfed 4 days earlier this week, a bicycle ride in beautiful sunny weather yesterday and today it was up to the ski hill. Attached are few pictures from today.

Golfing Season Is Here!
Well it’s hard to believe but the golfing season has begun in Kamloops. This is definitely one of the earliest starts that I can remember. My golfing buddy Dave and I went to Sun Rivers on Friday Feb 26/10. We had to walk since no power carts were allowed which makes for quite a hike as the course has some pretty good elevation changes….. at least that’s our excuse for playing in the mid 90’s. The memorable moment was that we were the very first golfers out for the 2010 season. Weather was a little windy but the hiking and work out kept us warm. Today we went to Eagle Point which is our home course for the first round of the season. The weather was perfect for this early and our scores were much improved… we shot in the low 80’s……… but who’s counting it’s just great to be back on the links.
